Insolvency Registers - where to find information

All EU Member States are required to maintain publicly available registers of the insolvency proceedings opened in their jurisdiction.

Article 24 of the Recast EU Regulation on Insolvency (“the Regulation”) sets out what information must be published. It applies to all new proceedings opened after 26 June 2018.

Northern Ireland

The register of corporate insolvency proceedings opened in Northern Ireland is maintained by Companies House. Personal insolvencies are recorded in a register which is maintained by the Northern Ireland Courts Service. Some insolvency notices are also published in the Gazette, which is the public record for the UK.
