Consultation description
The proposals set out in this consultation document have been informed by substantial input provided by key stakeholders. The proposals are consistent with the Executive’s commitment to develop regional solutions that more effectively address the very specific needs of the Northern Ireland economy.
Stakeholders have indicated that there is no consensus for deregulation in this sector, and that the Employment Agency Inspectorate provides an important function.
In light of this, the consultation seeks views on proposals that would result in the Conduct Regulations being amended, so that they more accurately reflect the needs of workers, hirers and agencies, and also take account of developments in private sector recruitment, such as the use of new business models and emerging technology.
