Economy Minister Diane Dodds has welcomed the launch of talks on a UK Japan Free Trade Agreement today:
"I welcome the launch of the UK’s trade negotiations with Japan. This is an important market for Northern Ireland and securing continuity of existing trade arrangements will give much needed certainty to our industry. I continue to engage with the Department for International Trade to ensure that Northern Ireland’s interests are represented as negotiations progress."
