NWRC and SRC board reappointments

North West Regional College

Mrs Roslyn Dougherty

Mrs Dougherty is a social worker by profession, and has worked at various levels within the profession for nearly 42 years. Prior to retirement in 2016, she was employed as Assistant Director of Social Work in South Eastern Health and Social Care Trust with responsibility for providing operational and professional leadership on all aspects of Social Services learning, development and research. In addition to her role as a member of the Governing Body for NWRC where she chairs the Resources Committee, she is a part time lecturer on the Social Work Degree in Belfast Met and has acted as a Practice Teacher and Tutor for candidates on the Post Graduate Research Methods Programme at Ulster University.  Mrs Dougherty holds one other public appointment. She was appointed as a Council member for the Northern Ireland Social Care Council in 2018 where she acts a vice chair for the Professional in Practice Committee. As a Council member she receives remuneration of £6,367 per annum. She also serves as a Trustee on Action Deaf Youth, a non-profit organisation which works with deaf children, young people and their families.

Southern Regional College

Dr Eileen Stewart

Dr Stewart is currently employed as Head of Emergency Planning, Safety and Estate Branch within the Finance and Corporate Affairs Division of the Agri-Food and Biosciences Institute (AFBI), a non-departmental public body of the Department of Agriculture, Environment and Rural Affairs (DAERA). Dr Stewart has worked for DAERA (formerly the Department of Agriculture & Rural Development) since 1996 and held a joint appointment in the School of Agriculture and Food Science, Queen's University Belfast up to 2007 as a lecturer in the area of Food and Nutrition.  Between 2007 and 2012, she undertook the role of external examiner for Food Science and Nutrition award and degree programmes at Letterkenny Institute of Technology and University of Reading. She is a Board Member of the Abbeyfield and Wesley Housing Association, and Trustee of the Alan Patterson Trust.

Dr Stewart does not currently hold any other public appointments.
