This report was conducted jointly by a research team from the Institute for Employment Studies and the National Centre for Social Research (IES/NatCen). The survey is based on Northern Ireland domiciled higher education students at Northern Ireland institutions.

This guidance is principally intended to help businesses and traders comply with consumer protection legislation. It includes guidance on:

• distance selling
• the Consumer Protection from Unfair Trading Regulations 2008
• pricing practices
