The department monitors recently published relevant research reports and, each quarter, produces a summary in the Research Digests for wider dissemination.

As part of Department for the Economy’s consideration around future renewables energy policy, the department contracted Cornwall Insight, in partnership with Ionic Consulting, to conduct research on renewable electricity and possible future policy in Northern Ireland.

This is the second in a regular series which will keep key stakeholders updated on progress with developing the new energy strategy.

The Corporate Insolvency and Governance Act 2020 makes various amendments to corporate insolvency and companies legislation applying both in GB and in Northern Ireland.

This study focuses on the relationship between investment in research and development and innovation activity, and how this relates to business growth and productivity.
